Per Pendy: The gruesome black eye came courtesy of Jerryd Bayless during a scrimmage. Bayless drove to the basket and flailed one of his arms at Pendergraph's face as he attempted a layup, smacking him square in the eye. Pendergraph, regarded as one of the toughest players on the team, said the collision was painful and was in no joking mood after practice. "He went up for a layup and ... he does it all the time, but it was just higher than normal and he smacked me in the face," Pendergraph said of the collision. "I hate getting hit in the face." OK, big fella, whatchoo gonna do about it?
