I heard this on Mike and Mike this morning. The Mets might trade thier top prospect for Barry Zito. I cant find an article on it, but would you make this kind of trade?? Trading a player for the future for a player that might get you over the hump and give you a better chance to win right now?If I'm the Mets, i would do this. Reason: Baseball doesnt have a cap, and the Mets are one of those teams that can spend and spend and spend. When you have a ton of money, you dont have to have the greatest farm system. Zito gives them a great them a great starting rotation. Pedro Martinez, Tom Glavine,Steve Trachsel,Barry Zito, and either Victor Zambrano or Jose Lima. That would be hard to beat in October for any team.

First off, Zito isn't a prospect. Secondly, the A's got rid of Hudson and Mulder, I expect Zito to be gone. Rich Harden, Joe Blanton, and the rest of the starters can be reliable, and their offense is amazing, with Swisher, Chavez etc....

I said that the Mets would trade thier top prospect outfielder for Barry Zito.

Barry Zito sucks, he's one of the leagues most dissapointing players.

Once Mulder, Hudson, and Foulke left Zito has been very disappointing.

That's the A's dilema.
