Where did I say anything about his current injuries affecting him long-term? Are you just making me say things you want me to say? I merely said, one more major injury (where he is out for the year), than i believe his career is essentially over because his body just can't hold up. I never said anything about his current/past injuries, any injury that takes him out long-term, whatever it may be, will probably end Oden's run at being a true/impact player in the NBA.

Wasn't pinning passing on CP3, just adding to an earlier part of the thread on saying who else we passed on in the DWill draft. KP was rumored to be a CP3 fan for what it's worth.

In terms of the Durant pick, GMs are paid to make the tough calls for a reason. The buck stops with them. Fair or not, you will probably lose your job over it.

Maybe another blunder: Brandon Rush and Jack for Bayless

Wouldn't you rather have Jack right now? Rush would provide some nice scoring off the bench too. Rush for Bayless, I understand. But Rush and Jack has turned out to be lopsided.

If the Thunder can get Bosh, it's all over in the West for a while. Not sure if they have enough cap room though.

I think that, even with another injury, if his heart is in it, he'll bounce back and have a decent career (like Grant Hill) but he won't be the greatest center in a generation like he was advertised to be.

No, Jack had to go. It was his time. We got rid of a player, while solid, made some really bone headed plays at times and the cost just didn't make him worth keeping. While Bayless could have been better than Jack, it is not currently showing, but he came at a cheaper price, so the gamble was worth it. Plus, Bayless still has a chance to do well, maybe not at the PG spot, but if Rudy ends up leaving or we trade him or whatever, Bayless can back up Roy at his natural position and give us a scoring punch, hopefully.

I'd say that was a Blunder since Bayless has become the new Telfair. The management has anointed him as the backup since last summer and we passed on making a deal to move up for someone like Ty Lawson and Darrin Collins. Both of which we had in for workouts. That makes me seriously question the staff's ability to evaluate PG talent.

Bosh wouldn't help them that much. He's not a center.

Jack has turned out to be a terrific player. He's definitely better than Bayless. And if we kept Jack, we could've also kept Rush.

Are you fucking kidding me? Bosh wouldn't help them?? Bosh is one of the best big men in the league, whether you call him a center or a PF. He can play either position. Wow.

He's already not in that "generational center" category I have a feeling. These injuries take take him away from development and conditioning for too long. He's gone back to square one twice already. One more and I have a feeling this franchise will need to move on from him.

Where does Jeff Green play then? Bosh would not help that much. If they played him at center they'd still be soft in the middle. I guess you've been blinded by all of those fantastic seasons that Bosh has led the Raptors to.

why get in such a huff? I only responded to what you wrote

I disagree with what I think you're saying in this latest post too. Everyone is fragile... our health is a tenuous balance and hoops is a rough game. If (for instance) Greg is upended and takes a nasty fall dislocating an elbow next season (like Bogut), thats not him being fragile. Players somewhat randomly suffer injuries and then often go many years without suffering another. If he were to tear knee ligaments like Shaun Livingston I'd be much more concerned for his long term prospects... thank goodness nothing truly major like that has happened :)

Bosh would give the Thunder a legit post player. I like Green, but he's got more of a SF game. With Bosh they could move KD to SG and Green to SF. That's a big, scary lineup with one of the best young PGs in the NBA.

11 ppg, 5 apg in 27 mpg. 2 tpg. 48% shooting, 41% three point shooting, 84% free throws shooting

Jack was unfairly hated around here. I remember he had a 20/10 game off the BENCH against the Lakers and people still wanted him gone.

He's led them to the playoffs a few times without any legit 2nd scorer.

    Bosh is better than Green.
