I find it funny they say that. Because you will note, that the Celtics really started struggling when they traded Eddie House to NY for Nate Robinson. At least IMO.

Good. At least Simmons' focus is off the Blazers.

Brutal article. At the same time, it is a very valid article.

    Thanks.

I thought us Blazer fans that don't like Sheed were just haters? Could there actually be reason to not remember Sheed fondly?

Dave Chappel should do a Rasheed Wallace skit. He would be perfect.

As a Celtics fan, I was at first happy with the signing, now not so much. However, I don't think Sheed has had any impact (positive or negative) on the team's play this year. He may be annoying, he may be frustrating to watch, but he's still a pretty solid guy to have as a reserve. He's there to go in to games when other players are resting. They don't rely on him for much more, nor should they.

The guy is getting $6+million this year, and he's basically a cardboard cutout who shouldn't be expected to do anything? I don't think that's what Ainge gave him that money for, do you?

Who cares how much money he makes? I don't pay his salary. And sure it's a lot of money, but it's pretty much the minimum salary you can give to a guy like him. He was brought in to be a bench player. That's what he is. He's not the franchise player like he was in Portland. I have no idea why Simmons is wasting an entire column on him.

I'm guessing Ainge and every Celtic fan outside of you does care, considering you apparently have 2 more years of not expecting anything from Rasheed as he eats up cap space.

Also, Rasheed was never a franchise player in Portland. He was paid like one, but he wasn't one.

Wow, thanks Bill Simmons for telling us something that we all knew about six or seven years ago. It's not like Sheed has changed at all. He's the same damn guy that he was in 2001-2002. Same guy. No difference. Just a little less athletic. He could have just gone back and watched tapes of Sheed in his last few seasons here and he would have already known that the guy has no heart. His teammates love him, but he has a terrible attitude on the basketball court and in practice.

I remember a story about Sheed writing a check every year to avoid lifting weights. The Blazers had a team fine for people who didn't work out and Sheed would rather pay the fine than actually put in the work.
