This is the topic for who is the most all around player in the NBA. Some players in contention for this are:<ul>[*]Andrei Kirerlinko[*]Chris Paul[*]Shawn Marion[*]Jason Kidd[*]Boris Diaw[*]Lebron James[/list]I'm sure I'm forgetting at least someone.Anyway, I think that AK-47 is the most versitale player in the NBA. He is the only person in the NBA that I could see getting a Quintuple Double, or 10 point, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals. Plus, he is pretty good at defense and isn't a bad leader or locker room influence.

Probably Jason Kidd, he can rebound very good for his size, pass like a mad man, and he's proven he can score, he also pretty solid on D. This guy is a triple double animal. It's gotta be him, along with AK.

Kirilenko is someone I'd love to have on my team. He can play any position almost, and can provide big numbers in every statistical category. Another player would be Gerald Wallace, he's very efficent in the points, rebounds, steals, and blocks categories.

I would like to add Lamar Odom to that list he is a very well all around player, obviously not as much as someone like AK-47 but he can play forward or even point guard.dsoung,I think Chris Paul was a few steals away from one this year.

Kevin Garnett, he's a top 15 or 20 scorer, the best rebounder, one of the best defenders, and he can play every position on the floor.

Obviously, I think Kevin Garnett is up there but I am going to go with Jason Kidd. The guy controls the game in all phases (floor awareness, speed, rebounding, defense and even scoring) and at his height it is pretty darn impressive. Even at the age of 32 or 33 (whatever he is) he is still getting it done and filling the stat sheet.I would say Kirilenko but he gets hurt so much I don't like to give it to him.

^Agreed. Jason Kidd is my pick too. Wolf basically stated it all. He puts up numbers almost all around the the board, with only the exception of blocks and as a PG that is really incredible. He's the defenition of an all-around player for me. Plus he was a huge player for me in fantasy basketball this season, because of this. :winkglasses:

AK-47 is the best all around player. He does it all for a team that is struggling to reach .500.

I definitely agree with the posts above (Garnett, Kidd, AK47, and Odom). But I also would like to add T-Mac, no doubt. He is a legit 6'8'' guy and can guard both SF's and SG's. He can handle the ball 100 times better than a guy his position should be. He's extremely athletic. He can rebound, a good passer, very clutch, and is a very very underrated defender. God I hope he/the Rockets get healthy, and he gets out of the 1st round, because he is truly a great player and I don't want people to think of him as just a stat line guy. He's much much more than just a stat guy.

I define all around players who can play both sides of the ball and can do a couple of stuff. I have Duncan at number 1 because he can score, block and can play world class defense. He's also a decent passer [does anyone remember his passing in the 2003 playoffs?].edit: Kg is not one of the best defenders in the league.

Until Andrei Kirilenko can do something on offense and shoot the ball he's not the best all-around player. Shawn Marion puts up 21/12/2/2/1 a game shooting good percentages and can play many positions.

It's no contest. LeBron James averages 32 PPG, 7 APG, 7 RPG. He is the third best passer in the NBA, top 5 scorer, and perhaps the best rebounding F/G. He's unmatched

So what are you saying? [IMG] He still affects games with the scoring / rebounding / passing combo more than anyone else. While AK47 might defend, he has nothing offensively on LeBron. While Diaw can pass, rebound, and score, he can't do ti as well as LeBron. LeBron is head and shoulders above anyone in that category

I'm saying that he can't be considered the best all-around player when he's not a lockdown defender yet.
