It is to point where I do not know how or who to root for. With all those teams ahead of us moving around every night, there might be a scenario that we might want to finish 6th and play the Mavs instead of 7th and play the Jazz. This is crazy!
Hmmmmm tough. I hate both teams. Lakers even more. A Lakers win might help us however. How about a Lakers win with a couple brawls. Artest laying out Carmello and Kobe getting piledrived by Nene.
Most definitely, Zags'! Not that it matters who any of us "root" for, but it'd be in our best interest if the Lakers were to win tonight... and if all of that other stuff were to happen, too!
I've been rooting for Denver/Utah to lose (so they get seeds 4/5 and we don't have to mess with them) and Phoenix/Dallas to win, so they take seeds 2 & 3, and then hope we don't finish 8th.
I'm rooting for Phoenix and Memphis tonight. I don't see how we can move up to 5th so 6th will have to do.
Look, that always happens. You lose the games you "should" have won and win games you "should" have lost. "Should" the Blazers, short-handed, have won at Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio? And while Golden State sucks, the Blazers have played poorly there and were down by 16 points late, "should" they have won that game? For that matter, "shoud" San Antonio have lost to the Nets?
I'm not going to say how I think we'll finish, because I don't want to jinx it, ABM-style. I just say I think we'll be the 6th seed. The key is whether or not K*be plays on Sunday.
It'd be nice if Utah (@ N.O.), San Antonio (vs. Memphis), and OKC (vs. Phoenix) all lost tonight. Not getting my hopes up, however...
Oh, I have confidence in our guys tonight, brotha... just not in New Orleans, Memphis, or Phoenix doing us any favors. That said, I don't care what any of the other teams around us do to close-out the regular season, so long as we play well in each game (and go into the playoffs playing some of our best basketball).
I think we're stuck with 7 or 8 unless we win out. Portland: 48-31 at LA Lakers vs. Thunder (B2B) vs. Golden State San Antonio: 48-31 at Denver (B2B) vs. Minnesota at Dallas Since we own the tie breaker vs. SA, we can afford to have the same record as they do and avoid #8.
