I don't care for the show, their schtick, or their banter. They have almost nothing intelligent to say, particularly as it relates to the Blazers, especially Charles. I prefer to just skip those kinds of shows and just watch the game with my own two eyes.
Remember before Barkley arrived, and it was just Ernie and Kenny? Those two made a fine couple. I liked the show before Barkley ruined it. Ernie's the Barbie of the group. He's the white guy there for his looks. Kenny is the adorable doll we all secretly wish we could kill Ernie for. Barkley is the Bluto who wants to kill Popeye.
Him having 2 rings has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with whether or not he is an idiot. It is ridiculous to say so.
It's not so much that he said we will finish 8th, rather that he offered zero analysis towards his reasoning. At least Charles said why he thinks we will fail. Kenny just said "they will finish 8th" and that was it. Chuck is a clown anyway. They have him around to make outlandish statements and piss people off. Kenny is supposed to be an actual analyst. I just think he has "his guys" and he really offers nothing else. Mostly I've just been pissed at him since the dunk contest last year.
Kenny Smith is a typical New Yorker, who thinks the simple fact he is from New York makes him more knowledgeable than anyone else. He's smug and if it weren't for the fact he played on the Rockets and gravy trained his way to 2 titles, he'd be no more important to the average NBA fan than Winston Garland.
I don't know if I'd say we have the 'hardest'. San Antonio @ Denver and @ Dallas ain't exactly a cupcake.

Kenny went to bat for the Blazers while Charles dogged on the Blazers again. Charles was basically daring Kenny to pick the Blazers to win the series and when Kenny finally caved to Charles and picked the Blazers Charles looked at him like he was a fool and told him that is a very bold pick and taht he was wrong.
Charles is completely ignorant about this team. I wonder if he has watched them at all this season. All Barkley sees is "Brandon Roy is gone. They're done." I doubt he has any idea how this team plays or what we are capable of. He has zero credibility to me. He just keeps repeating the same things over and over: "Brandon Roy is gone." "Suns were the hottest team in the west." "Home court advantage." What he doesn't understand is that we have depth, we were also extremely hot after the All-Star break, and we are a very good road team. I think Charles is going to be very disappointed, and if we win this series, it will be because Phoenix lost and not because we won.
Good to see that Kenny is coming around and seeing what we all see--the matchup problems that our lineup creates are not a fluke, and they're not going to disappear just because the Suns are "focused".
Barkley also said that they suns were superior talented team even with Roy being healthy. Barkley is funny as hell most of the time but anything he says about the blazers that isn't about Bayless is about how we only shoot jumpers are not tough and suck.
