OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV Mike Rice, I know you're reading this board. Please let Greg Oden know that he can get the games in Indianapolis if he signs up for the League Pass option. Apparently he isn't aware that he can do this. Consider this a service to the Blazers. kthnx!
Re: OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV "Where do you see this team in 3 years?" "I would like to see us winning a championship. Definitely being one of those championship contending teams. Three years from now, you can't really tell what's going to happen but I would definitely like to be with the Blazers. I want us holding that trophy around." All I care about. Drama Queens.
Re: OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV Mike Rice, I know you're reading this board. Leave Greg Oden alone. Let him relax and don't pester him just to make the posters in here feel better. kthnx!
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Sometimes the best support you can give someone is to leave them alone. Who the fuck cares if he sees our games?
Re: OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV You're trying to get money off that cheap bastard? Good luck.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Are you 13 you fucking weirdo? "I BET KEVIN DURANT WATCHES ALL THE GAMES!!!!!!" Fer FUCKS sake.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Alot being made out of just a few comments. It did not say how long he had been in Indiana. He would have no excuse if this were his third month at home. As others have noted in this thread and the "GO on the go" spots the Blazers have ran, he has still been in the Portland area this season. Greg spent his entire rookie season here watching tape and practices. It did not seem like it did anything for his performance on the court last year. Greg is up for a contract this coming offseason. The choice for him to spend time at home was probably also those of the coaching staff. If they thought the best thing was for him to be here, he would probably be here in order to ease contract negotiations.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? I actually don't think this criticism is ridiculous. To me this is just another piece of evidence pointing to the idea that perhaps Greg just doesn't love the game, or want it as bad as some other fiery, competitive players. I have nothing to back it up, but I can only imagine that if Durant was injured, he would likely be at the games, and if not, he would be watching the games and film trying to get better. I love GO, and I'm still glad we picked him over Durant. But I do worry that he might be lacking some of that desire and killer instinct.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? I would care if it were somebody on my team. I actually don't care what is "best for Greg". I care about what is best for the team now and in the long run. And it is my opinion, that the team would be better in the long run if Oden learned how to play the game.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Yeah, because "are you 13" is such an original insult on the internet. Never heard that one before!
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? We're just going to have to agree to disagree. Rehab is a lonely and depressing process. It's much worse when you see your teammates practicing and playing together. Sometimes, it's best just to get away for awhile, especially when you're a mama's boy like GO. I think when it comes to sports, you learn by doing. Sure, he can watch film until the cows come home. If he wants to see a game, I'm sure our video coordinator can e-mail him a copy. It would be great if he were from Oregon and loved hanging out here, but he's a midwesterner. When it comes to rehab, mental outlook is more important than being around the team. I want him happy and motivated. Mostly, however, it just doesn't really matter to me.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Well, that's not true. You gave a subtle insult to posters who clearly DO care about this interview. So, at some level, it does matter to you.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? I wasn't trying to insult you. It was a serious question. You think 20 something year old millionaires sit around all night watching basketball because you do. Fucking awesome. And then for some reason inventing a story that Kevin Durant does.

Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? wonder what gregs excuse is when the games are on national tv? "my friends think basketball is boring and my mom was watching idol so i had no choice. we only have 1 24 inch tv in the living room, and mom gets its till 10pm."
