Entity? You there? You always inspire me. I can't make up my mind. I could watch it at home on my new TV for free in the comfort of my own bed. I could watch it at ESPNZone in Anaheim where they always give me the center booth. Or I could go to the game. Center tickets on the lower level are about $600 each and I'd have to buy two and then find someone to go with. I could go one level up for $387 each. I could go up the very top for around $95. I'm not sure what to do. I'm unemployed so I should probably save my money. But the Blazers are my favorite team in the world and I should take advantage of a chance to see them in my backyard. Hmmm..... what should I do?
Oh man... If I were unemployed (which I might very well be in a couple of months) I would take the $95ers. Sure, I should probably save it, but it's Blazers vs Lakers. I would totally jump on a plane and spot you some for some better seats if I could get leave approved here within like a day, but that's probably not going to happen. I can't in good conscience tell you to spend like that, but I think you should definitely be in the building.
I could have gotten you a ticket for about face value. I can't go since I'm out of town but my friend has a single ticket row C behind the basket which is about $175, there are only 3 rows of folding chairs separating you from the floor. I try to avoid going to Laker games, the fans are very agressive at any opposing teams and its a bad environment. I might do playoffs though...not sure yet. I like watching the games at home, can't stand being in a hostile environment where everyone else is cheering for the L*kers...its very annoying.
But will we face the Lakers in the first round? And won't tickets be less available and thus, more expensive?
more than $600 a seat? That's pretty crazy. the only time I would consider something that expensive is a Western Conference Elimination game (in which the blazers could advance) or the NBA Finals. It could be a memorable game but you've got to remember...the L*kers already have their playoff spot...Bynum is out and they might rest their players for the playoffs so this game isn't all that important for them. My buddy might sell them to me for face value at least one game and you can roll with me if you want if I do go. Either that or I might be able to get into Hyde Lounge again (might have to pay like $60-70). He would have sold his tix to me at face or slightly more for the playoffs if they played the Blazers. although, I'd probably only go to an elimination game for the lakers. nothing would make me happier for the Blazers to send the L*kers to Cancun for the summer on their own court. and as stated, wearing Blazers gear to a L*kers game isn't a good experience. So much shit talking from trashy fans.
go to the fuckin game please. If you want to buy my ticket I'll fly down from Eugene on Allegiant and go with you! Drinks are on me!
Kobe didnt play last night. The Lakers play the Twolves tonight. Do you think Kobe will play on Sunday?
If you believe those fake-tan, silicone-tittied, cell-phone talking "fans" at Staples are in any way, shape or form the same as Iggle fans, then you've never been to The Linc or worse, The Vet. I went to a Skins/Iggles game once in Philly. Once. I've never felt more meanaced in my life. There's a reason they have a judge and a holding cell at the stadium in Philly.
That's the key. I think K*be will want to play, because they want OKC first, us second and the Spurs third. However, I think Phil will think beyond this game and look to the playoffs. He'll focus on what losing with K*be would mean to the team's psyche. And if they beat us w/o the Mile High Rapist, what it will do to our confidence. I think he sits him. K*be's knee and ankle are jacked up. According to those who watched him practice last, he as "dead legs".
IMO, PJ's Jedi mind tricks. I truly think he believed he could hold Kobe out and win the game.....hence, putting a little seed of doubt in the Nuggets mind come playoff time....with, of course, Kobe then playing. However, that little plan backfired on him. That said, if they do end up playing each other, Denver will beat the Lakers in 6.
My feeling on the matter is if you can possibly make it in person to see the game, do so. Nothing replicates seeing a game live, regardless of the seats.
