Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? :insert "hilarious" mom joke: All I know is that Joel Przybilla better be watching fucking game tape right now. I bet you anything Brian Scalabrine is.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? I have no problems returning an "are you 13" insult with a mom slam. Did I upset you? If so, I'm sorry.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? I don't actually care if Oden "loves" basketball, if he can put up PERs in the 20s with great defense. His only problem so far has been health, and I don't think that was due to lack of effort or "love." He supposedly worked very hard with coaches on his rehab and also over the off-season. So, even if he hates watching basketball and has no interest in games he's not playing in...that's fine. I just want the results and the results, outside of health, have been excellent so far. Unless someone can make a compelling case that his injuries were due to a lack of effort/dedication, none of this really concerns me.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? I posted in the Pritchard interview thread the root of my frustration with Greg over this interview. Looking in the mirror, it isn't a Greg issue; it's a me issue, in that I just want him back on the court dominating again.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Link to proof that a stronger desire for the game wouldn't improve his PER?
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Link to proof I don't think you quite read what I said. I said that if he puts up PERs in the 20s with great defense, his interest level isn't of huge concern to me. Obviously, there's no proof that he couldn't be even better. Link me proof that Duncan couldn't be even better with stronger desire for the game.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? 1) he has been here rehabbing for several months 2) he is just gone for a week or two 3) he was told by his doctors to take it easy and rest his knee for a while 4) he will be back for the playoffs or earlier 5) most of the games that he has missed he would have missed anyway since they were road games 6) so he did not think ahead of time about asking his mom to gets league pass. Now he has missed some games and said he will figure out how to watch. That might mean going to a friends or getting league pass. He just was not able to watch a couple games. 7) Joel has been gone for a lot longer with no complaints till this thread. Players often take time away when they are injured for extended periods of time.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? Upset me? You see my "13 year old" crack had context. I picked 13 because I was trying to remember at what age I still believed professional athletes cared about sports as much as I did. They MUST talk about it all day, watch every single minute of every single game, go to bed thinking about the "big" loss, tossing and turning just like I am. They must wake up thinking about that "big" loss and how to get revenge!!! They MUST be reading box scores 7 am, and collecting basketball cards just like I do... And then at which age I realized that's all bullshit.... 14. Ask your mom.
Re: Why is Oden in Indiana? What is this "Google" thing you linked to? I understood that. And I also think that a PER in the 20s with great defense would be very nice. I also think that the biggest difference between Greg and Shaq (prime) is their intensity and desire. I don't see that from Greg, and I think Shaq had it. Clearly my opinion. Obviously there is no proof. It is just my opinion that a fiery, competitive, love-for-the-game, win-at-all-costs GO is a more productive GO.
Re: OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV Mike Rice, Since you read this board, Can you PLEASE make sure all the Blazers are watching all the games on their NBA package at home every night. If they can't be home, (Obviously they can't be when they are out buying basketball books) the NBA also has a smart phone app where you can also watch ALL the games. ***MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM THIS TOO*** I BET KEVIN DURANT WATCHES ALL THE GAMES. Thanks Mike Rice. OK, Off to get my broken heel reattached to my new pumps!
Re: OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV Hopefully he sees it. :fingerscrossed: I'd also like to add that the NBA smart phone app works over 3G, so they can't get away with saying they weren't in a WI-FI hot spot. This still might be a problem though if any of the players are on AT&T. Does anyone know what network Kevin Durant is on?
Re: OT: League Pass Available on Direct TV I'm sure Durant already has every app available. Besides, why help out OKC if he doesn't? Meanwhile, I'm just trying to get G.O. off of the StarTac.
