I purchased my wife a netbook about 3 months ago and ever since she hasn't used her laptop. Today I needed to access some files off of it and neither of us can think of the password. Is there a standard Windows password you can input to get around the locked computer?
That would make having passwords pointless. If you have another administrator account on the computer you can use that to delete the password.
Nearly every wireless router comes with a standard password that 99% of people never change. I have been able to access all of my friends networks simply by putting in: Administrator: Admin Password: Admin I thought maybe there was something like that for Windows, but apparently not. Or something you could do at start up to start the computer in "safe mode" where you could reset something like this.
