How many more years are we going to hear about the team having to "learn" how to play through shitty reffing?

No worries, Phil Jackson has made a career of this. No, wait! Invariably, he finds a way to blame the refs.

Blame the refs as much as you want, the Blazers simply could execute for long stretches when the Mavs were playing solid D. Welcome to the harsh reality of Nate's offense when introduced to playoff intensity.

Zones still very much bother this team. Good outside shooting helps overcome zones. Unfortunately, the Blazers' has been sporadic.

Or the fact our players were getting smacked in the face on there drives and NO CALLS all night!

Then Dirk would fall on his own and they would blow instantly. Nope didnt hurt the outcome at all.

I'm not blaming the refs. I was asking how many more years are we going to hear that the team has to learn how to play through stuff like that.

It's not really comforting knowing how easily this team is knocked off it's feet, when it comes to playoff style defenses being used against them.

That's true. Last night's game reminded me of the Nuggets losses with BRoy forcing shots and not enough ball movement when the D took away your first option.

True. But the Blazers defense was good too. The Mavs weren't getting good shots either. It wasn't just the refs. We should have been up by about 10 points early in the 4th quarter.
We could have put that game away in the 3rd quarter. Stupid turnovers, missed FT's, just sloppy play kept the game close - We just didn't play well offensively last night. But the refs did take that game away from us in the 4th. I don't know if we'd have won, but it would have came down to the last second had the 4th quarter not been called so poorly.

    Absolutely bang on.

How people can watch a game like last night and still have faith in this staff is just astonishing to me.

Not a clue how to execute late. Same old standing around waiting for Roy or Miller to ISO. Playing at 5 mph without ever raising their intensity at any point during the game.
