This is just cruel, and mean, and it hurts, and it sucks. I can't remember a more painful year, which is unbelievable considering we actually made the playoffs. Now it's almost a certainty that we end up playing LA in the 1st round and getting bounced quickly. How can a team that wins 48-50 games be such a heartbreaker? Injuries are part of the game, but this is just brutal.
How can it not be serious? This is a big a regular season game as it gets. We're fighting to NOT play these guys in the 1st round so that we actually have a chance of winning a series. And they are just going to sit him for a little bump? No way. This has to be a big deal for them to pull the plug. You're pretty much throwing away any chance you had of NOT finishing 8th.
the play it happened on didn't look that bad. Bad injuries have happened with less but hopefully it's just a tweak/strain. STOMP
I am assuming that they are being very careful, but let's be honest if it happens to be bad it is just the way the cookie crumbles.
It's a big game, but having Roy available for the playoffs is bigger. I think they'd rather be careful and err on the side of over-cautious rather than risk losing him for the rest of the season in order to win this game.
Man that's hard to believe they were just being cautious. I didn't see us beating LA in LA w/o Roy. I'm flabbergasted. Truthfully, I didn't even watch the end. I turned the Masters on and just checked the score after it was over. I can't believe they won in LA w/o Roy.
i love the guy on the offensive end of the floor...it's nice he's from the northwest...but...dang is he soft.
Even if it isn't 'serious,' and as badly as I want to beat OKC, I think they should sit him until the playoffs.
The season that just keeps on giving.... http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2010/04/brandon_roy_scheduled_for_mri.html
