This is the 1st game I have been able to sit and watch at home this season! I am going fucking crazy screaming at the TV! My wife said I am freaking her and the kids out! I am glad of the career choice I made and that I am too busy during the games to even know what the score and scenario is most of the time! Props to you fools for doing this 82 times a year! I have to go attend to my crying 5 year old who just said, "Dad why are you mad at the TV!?"
The life of a fan is rough. My dog hates me right now, thinks I have been screaming at it this whole time and is in a corner pouting right now.
You should have heard me when Webster and Miller had back to back fouls at the end. I should have woken up my son.
This is actually an interesting predicament IMO. Would you guys rather work for the team, travel with the team, get all the perks that go along with that, but not get to watch the games live because you're working on the pre-4th quarter video montage? (not sayin thats all u do HCP) Or just have a regular day job which allows you to watch pretty much every game live? But you would probably never get a chance to meet any of the players/mikes/etc...
I had to turn off the sound, I couldn't stand it. I've scared my cats a few times jumping up and down and screaming.
When Fisher basically bull-rushed Webster to "create" an open three pointer for Kobe (foul? what foul?), things got rather ugly and loud in my household. I know how I do it, but I'm not sure how the wife puts up with it.
I only had one loud outburst -- my wife lets me have one loud one a year. I think it was on the Kobe layup where Aldridge was called for blocking. On the replay I think it could have gone either way. My dog thought I was mad at her.
Watching sports is the only time I disobey my cats. They don't like sudden movements and sudden loud noises and it is, after all, their house that they graciously allow me to share with them, as long as I live by their rules. When I suddenly jump and scream, they generally respond by knocking something over. If I really irritate them, something fragile and messy, like a glass vase full of water and roses.
