With Masoli the Ducks were going to be ranked at least in the top 10, very likely in the top 5. The system fits Thomas' strengths so if he isn't totally dreadful(he shouldn't be, Kelly seems to be a QB guru), the Ducks will be more than fine. Not top 5 or maybe 10 fine, but they'll be better than the Beavs. They're returning a ton of starters, and adding a pretty good recruiting class as well.

    Ducks.

I posted the preseason ESPN link done on 4/9/2010 which has the Masoli-less Ducks at #10 and the Beavers #20

even given health I'd take the field's chances of winning an individual award over any single player's as it's a team game. Last year Canfield made teams pay if they loaded up the box, thats far from a lock to happen again this year. Unless their QB question marks are answered in a big way I'd look for opponent's game plans to make it very tough sledding for Rodgers.

Quizz will be in the running. Not a lock (even if he's healthy), but certainly in the running. He's still a great back, and I have no reason to believe he won't have another great year.

I agree to that. I just find it funny. "Oh PUHLEASE if healthy there is NO WAY that he isnt..." lol I think the early consensus #1 overall pick in the 2011 nfl draft might have something to say about that.

He's FAR better than Locker! Locker is good, but he's nowhere near the football player that Quizz is.

I think Katz will be a very good QB. He's got an experienced, good O-line, excellent wide receivers, a stud at tight end, and the best running back in the conference. The Beavers have put him in a position to succeed without having to do much. Perfect circumstances.

I'm pretty sure Costa graduated and is no longer with the team.

Locker is pretty amazing, and I think it will be a tight race. I'm really interested in seeing what Jake can do with another season under SS.

all the daily practice reports have him splitting snaps with Thomas. Look it up on the O's or RG's websites if you need confirmation

again their O line is seriously banged up. The link I posted states that a Jr. walk on without a scholarship is currently projected as the starting Right Guard replacing All Pac 10 player Gregg Peat. Good luck to Katz...

they will? As Blazer fans are aware, knee and shoulder surgery often take longer then projected to come back from and football is harder on the body then hoops. Of course guys will be behind the curve with their training and reps...

I'd at least be pretty concerned about their O-line depth if a non-scholarship guy who hasn't played any organized ball in 3 years is currently listed 1st on the depth chart. The injured guys aren't even projected on his side of the line. I just started poking around on line about the Beavers following your post and things sure don't seem that rosy to me. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like your claims of clear O-line supremacy are dubious even with out injuries... UO isn't too shabby there.

I can't believe all the hype Locker gets... Fool hasn't done anything. He is the Martell Webster of Pac 10 football.

Fuck Locker and "quizz". LaMichael James is gonna run away (literally) with the award. Seastrunk might be the runner up. The Ducks are almost always the better team, and I don't see this year being any different. Has any team ever had two backs run for 1500 yds? We might see it this year, and if we don't, it's because D-Thomas is tearin it up from the QB spot. DUCKS!

As far as I know he's a nice prospect but he really hasn't had that great of production or success with his team.
