I am not surprised if it ends up being worse than reported. This is the training staff after all. As incompetent as it gets.

Where did you get your medical degree from?

Is it possible they know its worse and they're not reporting it?

Where did I say I got it? I guess I have been dreaming that a lot of injuries originally reported as minor or not keeping them out for to long, it ends up keeping them out much longer then expected (Oden springs to mind when he and Maggette made contact last year).

Edit: And if they know it is worse, just freaking report it. It is going to come out one way or another might as well crush our hopes right away.

maybe fans should just lower their hopes until they see that a guy is truly good to go regardless of what the guesstimate on when he'll be back is? It's not like any medical person can see into the future... there is a high amount of variance in severity (and recovery from) of most injuries

my question is who starts tonight in Roy's place? Bayless Rudy and Martell are the obvious choices. I'm probably going with Rudy so that Thabo Sefolosha has to match up on him and more importantly Westbrooke has to guard Miller. Andre really took it to Russell last game.

Bottom line, it doesn't sound like it's going to be a huge deal whether he plays on it or not. He'll feel gimpy, he'll have swelling (which can be drained easily) and he'll have some discomfort. Big deal. This isn't December with months left in the season. He can play on it and afford to aggravate the knee during the playoffs then take a nice long rest until training camp.

@BlazerFlack: Further evaluation of MRI of Brandon Roy’s right knee reveals slight meniscus tear. Roy is out for final two games. Day to day for playoffs.

we all suspected this, i think

@jquick: roy tells me torn meniscus but that he will try to play in playoffs

In all sincerity, that fuckin' blows. You've been riddled all year with injuries, but this one could be the icing on the cake. Sorry guys, I feel for ya.
