Good Lord would everyone shut up about officiating already. Great teams are able to overcome bad officiating, (see: Trail Blazers v. Lakers, 4/11/10) As long as there is are human refs, theres going to be mistakes/bias. You've just got to keep playing hard and not lose your cool. While we have refs that are in their 40's, 50's and 60's trying to call a game of the best basketball players on the planet, there's going to be mistakes. Part of the game, always has been.
I think the point is that we're not a great team; we're merely a very good one, which Dallas is as well. If the calls were reversed and we were allowed to mug Dirk, we win going away. We need the game to be fairly called to have an opportunity to win. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a fairly called game, which this one wasn't. You can say "play through it" all you wish, but this game felt like it was being reffed by the same crew that did the Guards vs. the Inmates in "The Longest Yard".
maxiep, you ignorant slut. Not saying that the reffing was perfect in this game, far from it. Even though there were a bunch of bad calls, we only lost by 6. We gave them 4 free points due to technicals. So if we had "played through it", we're potentially talking one possesion game.
Haha. It was my favorite pic from my trip to Australia. I don't know how often I make that face, nor how often beautiful women make that face towards ME, but clearly they don't happen often enough Ed O.
