Just in case any folks want to rant on the NBA about the officiating. http://www.nba.com/email_us/contact_us.html You will notice one of the drop down box subjects is officiating. If enough folks write a letter of concern, maybe we can get their attention. I also asked that they make sure that Ken Mauer's crew not officiate any Blazer series. It may do nothing. But what the hell do we have to lose?
I would just ask that if anyone does this, please don't rant like a lunatic. The idea is to be taken seriously. Thanks. If enough fans indicated a rational objection to bad officiating, who knows, the NBA might decide to give a crap.
Am I crazy for thinking that handing Dallas a game over us is really just the NBA (in their own demented way) making up for handing Utah a win over OKC?
I actually thought we got the call at the end of the LA game because of what happened in that game. Refs are unlikely to not make the end of game call for a while, because they know they will get called on the carpet for it.
I think officials will be all over us and ready to screw us even more because of the fan behavior last game. I am all for cheering on your team to the hilt... but the booing stuff... blah. It just gets our own team focused on the calls and feeling like they were wronged instead of focusing on the game and playing better. It seems to me part of our overachieving has been because of our ability to not complain or focus on the refs.
I'm still waiting for the NBA to put out a statement that the refs missed Fisher's obvious moving screen on Kobe's 3 pointer to tie the game.
