    For me it's a tie between David Ortiz and Paul Pierce....without Ortiz my Red Sox would have never broken the curse, he's had so many clutch hits, it's incredible just to think about. If he stays with Boston until the end of his career he will go down as the Greatest Red Sox player to ever throw on the Red Sox jersey. Without his bat, Sox don't have a world series, period. Pierce is kind of obvious, he's been the heart and soul of my favorite professional sports team and his consistency and love for the organization is very commendable.Honorable Mentions:Tedy Bruschi-The general of one of the best defenses in all of football for four years straight, the guy had a stroke and is still playing football, I don't know how you can't respsect the guy.Ray Bourque-Another Boston legend, loved the city and played his ass off every night for the Bruins when I actually cared about Bruins and when people actually cared about hockey. It's sad to see how far hockey has fallen.

    Cal Ripken Jr. One of the greatest shortstops in baseball, and his record will remain intact for years I believe. He was like the only reason I enjoyed and watched baseball. Now I don't even care about the sport really. Orioles and MLB have been a disgrace.

    barry bonds...............pause. yea get me some more roids :flex: i think there are too many for me to choose from.. patrick ewing, for his heart and passion for the game. i wish he got his ring in '94 but sh*t happens. mj also kept him from at least 2 rings.derek jeter, for his passion as well. he is the perfect professional and one of the most respected baseball players in the league. he's been playing for 10 years and hasn't skipped a beat. he still is batting over .300 and he's still a winner. he never had a losing record since being with the yanks.mj, needs no explanation.wilt chamberlain, not only was he a great player but he was also a great PLAYER :winkglasses: ya dig?

    Tracy McGrady. My first time I watched him was when I was 4 he was dunking on Kornel David. Tracy was the reason I was really into Basketball. He inspired me and I just kept on playing and playing till I became better. Hes my idol right now.
