Not just cause hes fucking amazing for us but can you imagine if OKC gets him? That would be scary. PRIORITY #1 better be to resign this man at all costs. He has made a world of difference. Miller is our MVP but Camby is pushing him for that in less then 2 months of being here. What a wonderful piece to have on a playoff team. Guy has changed so many games and without him... we dont win 44 IMO
Why not just fire him? Are you wanting him to feel like it was his choice? I personally want to re-sign him, but I suppose your Blazer hatred has blinded you again.
I need help. I thought the same thing as MIXUM, but from a different view. During the game, all I could think of was "I bet Sam Presti throws ALL his cap space at Marcus this summer."
thank u maxie even though we never agree.... we need to sign camby just so the thunder doesnt.... and hes fucking awesome for us
I wouldn't trust Camby for an entire season plus playoffs. If the price is steep, let him go. I'm envisioning him as a back-up to Oden next year.
I've talked a couple of times about 'what if the Zombie Sonics throw their cap room around in free agency in an effort to get a big man?' And the more I think about it and some of the financial troubles of some of that team's minority owners, I don't think they're going to break the bank to add guys. They've got big extensions looming for Durant, Westbrook, Green, et al. and if they intend to keep their core together they aren't quite as well heeled as a billionaire like PA or Cuban. My best guess is that they try to trade for a decent defensive center at some point, but not a star big (like Bosh, Amare or Boozer) and even the ten or so million that Camby will probably demand on the open market is probably out of their price range.
Depends. For a 38 year-old? I think that's too steep if Oden is still viewed as a viable option. It's basically an additional $10 million/year in terms of tax, depending on the new CBA. I also don't think Camby gets OKC over the top, and I wouldn't mind if they did throw that contract at him. I think it would be a liability within a year.
