Was watching the game on NBATV. I mean, you guys know I'm a Laker fan, but it's always cool to see people pay homage to hard-working, humble people like Camby. So this was really cool to see, I just sat there and turned it up. All I could do.
That chant was great!!! I'd be cool if it became some sort of a tradition at the RG for the fans to chant the name of the best player at the end each game... if we are winning.
Nah. that kind of thing needs to be reserved for truly remarkable performances that occur at the most important times; if it happened a lot I think it would cheapen what we witnessed last night.
Agree with that. It was amazing how fast the entire arena picked it up. It started with the rowdies that always start chants..not sure exactly which section it is (maybe 312/3)...but within about 4 chants the entire arena had it going!
That rebound by Camby over Collison...that's what Portland needed last year against Houston in the playoffs. They lost a couple of close games because they gave up too many offensive rebounds. Remarkable rebound.
Portland has got to bring him back. The thoughts of Oden and Camby together on the floor dominating the paint gives me goosebumps!
You know we have great fans because, unlike 99% of other NBA arenas, there isn't artificial noise constantly going, its just the crowd cheering and chanting almost constantly. And no artificial, canned "de-fense" chants over the P.A. that are designed to sound like crowd noise! (Cavs, I'm looking at you.)
