He'll play, but I bet not much... less than 24 minutes, hopefully. And by hopefully I mean "hopefully because by then we'll be up by 30." -- I also hope Marcus gets a short stint to rest as a reward for being MAR-CUS CAM-BY (clap clap clap-clap-clap).
From NBA.com (emphasis added): I agree 100% that the contact was unnecessary and excessive. He made no play on the ball. He drove Aldridge into the ground. It was a dangerous and unacceptable foul that should have been more harshly penalized than one where he swung wildly for a block and accidentally hit someone in the head. Ed O.
If the refs aren't going to protect our players, send in Pendergraph to send a message to the other team.
He's sending a powerful message from the bench with his towel-waiving. Which is all you can expect from an early second rounder when a team has been devastated by injuries... right? Ed O.
I wish they would have sent Penderpraph into the game to knock Collison the fuck out! I hope the league reviews the play and suspends that bastard for game 1 of the playoffs.
Maybe Collison can go back to Seattle and play for the Seahawks? I heard they could use a free safety.
I completely agree with MB. If that wasn't a Flagrant 2, then why have a Flagrant 2 specified in the rule book? IMO, this play should be used as an example of a Flagrant 2.
MB and Rice were right. It was not like he went for a shoulder and got a neck or head by accident. He tackled him from behind, drove him into the basket stanchion. LMA could easily have been seriously injured, so could one of the photogs on the floor or even a fan in the first row. Collison should have been ejected and suspended and fined. Does the NBA really want to wait until someone is permanently injured before they step up?
