I don't want him injuring a knee or a foot while favoring his injured calf. The prudent thing would be to rest him until training camp. Let's not make this a long-term issue.

I just want LaMarcus to be 100% ready for Opening Night next fall. This calf issue could lead to him losing his vision if he puts too much pressure on other parts of his body. Something about disrupting his inner inertia and the balance of the iron in the blood. It's not good.

He is so beat up and so dog tired, that it's not a bad idea. If it's a given by the time we face Golden State that we're going to play Utah if we win and we won't if we lose, then I'd sit Aldridge and let the chips fall. If we win, and I'd play to win, then I'll have Aldridge just a little more rested and in better physical health. We'll need a strong LA against Utah and all of their big men and tough inside game.
If Aldridge has a calf issue in the playoffs, then I don't want to risk his potential blindness by throwing off the equilibrium of his cranial flux capacitor. I laid out the very real scenario earlier in this thread, and the potential risks are most very grave. It's simply a risk not worth taking at this point considering we're paying him $65 million over the next 5 years. What good is a blind power forward, if it means perhaps advancing an extra round in this year's playoffs?? That we're even considering the possiblility of him playing boggles the mind. I have to question the Blazer medical staff if they allow him to play the rest of this season, however long it may last.
Amare's a pretty highly-paid almost-blind PF. He's doing all right, though maybe his microfracture surgery had something to do with that.
The cranial flux capacitor is affected more by disruptions in the muscular nervous system than it is affected by skeletal issues. I can't stress this point enough.
