One big 'disatvantage' the NBA has compared to most other sports is that the players are exposed and able to express themselves. NBA players wear small jerseys and their hair, tattoos and expressions are easily seen by people. Where in the NFL - They wear big bulky pads that make them look superhuman - Helmets that cover everything People give the NBA crap because the players are punks but if you see NFL players without pads and without helmets running over to the refs and acting like immature babies i'm sure people would notice the similarities. You would notice that these peoples are just as dumb and punk as NBA players. This is one of the points I make when some jacka**'s rip on the NBA and calls them punks or gangsters.

The NBA has always had a bad rap.The NFL gets away with everything. Kobe Bryant was accused of rape and people still get on him about that. They still bring it up when talking about him. Ray Lewis was accused of murder and nobody even remembers that happen.

And a lot of it has to do with the NBA's image which is that you are seen, and most people see the tattoos and complaining and people get a negative image.

If NFL players had the time to complain they would. Also NFL players have the same if not more tatoos than NBA players do.

When NBA players complain it's more attractive for the camera and it's filmed more, in the NFL the WR's downfield after a play are often complaining when the camera is watching the QB or something away from the players downfield, (the WR's who are the biggest babies).

    - You have these players who make themselves seem like "thugs" People see them like this because of the way they dress, speak, and some of their oncourt activities (Nov 19,2004)- Players these days are so selfish. A guy like Allen Iverson, who is a Point Guard and shoots 25 times a game, is actually being called unselfish. - Occasionally, you get major off-court stuff like Kobe's situation, Jayson Williams, Gary Payton a few years back...

But the NFL and other sports have the same problems and they get half of the crap for it.

I remember him being involved in some type of fight or something last year. Is that it? Or are you just talking about his arguments with the Sonics organization?

I don't think so. Maybe you are right, and one of the reasons for that is because of identification. In the NFL, you hear about how someone did something bad, but you've probably never seen that person before if you are a casual fan. There are so many players, and during games players are covered with equipment, so you can't see them. This makes it harder to identify people, and harder to single them outNBA apparel on the other hand, consists of a jersey and a pair of shorts. You see the players clearly, each team only has 5 or 6 notable players, so it's much easier to identify and poitn out people
