I think the Rockets will knock us from the 8 seed with that deal.

Well, considering I was the one who brought up "Jefferson" in the first place, I imagine I knew who I was talking about when I mentioned him. Consider the context:

My point was that if Evans made a previously untouchable Kevin Martin available, shouldn't Love have made a previously untouchable Al Jefferson available? Aren't they analagous situations?

as much as i hate to admit it, houston scored big time here.

those picks might be gold, just like the curry trade. how great will it be if nobody signs there and they suck ass and have to give up 3 straight picks?

what i find hard to believe is that new york couldnt find anyone to take jeffries without having to add so much. he is having a decent year. this is where i wish portland had some random expirings or cap room still....

I did not think it was much relevant to the discussion since Al Jefferson was not available for trade last year - but Richard Jefferson was. I just thought that the Love reference was (like the Rose reference) in regard to Evans.

The T-Pups were actually playing fantastic basketball last season in January when both Love and Al-Jeff were playing together (unlike Evans/Martin together), they started going down when Al-Jeff was wounded. I did not really expect anyone to trade for Jefferson who the T-Pups were not interested in trading and was wounded - so I made the mental jump to consider R-Jeff since he was rumored to be a target and many people were upset when we did not trade for him.

So, I guess that I am wrong in referring to R-Jeff - but in the grand scheme of things - this makes your question even more hypothetical.

Blake and Outlaw played great last year. We won 52 games, remember? Why would we have been pre-disposed to trade them?

So if they traded RJ to the Timberwolves, then we could call them "The Jefferson's"? :devilwink:

I can just see RJ now after good play exclaiming "DYNOMITE" with some funky body language.

Hopefully there are a few people here who are old enough to remember that show...

Carter is a beaten down has-been and plays the same position as our best player. Kpee is a genius for not doing that.

I don't think I've ever actually LOL'd like that before, while reading these forums--it's a damn good thing I wasn't taking a drink of some sort of beverage!

I guess this dude didn't hear the expression "Shit or get off the pot!" correctly--as, for whatever the reason, he decided to get off of said pot, shit, and then run a marathon! I mean, I've heard of doin' "The Stanky Leg" and all... but, damn... do you really gotta go and defacate in your shorts to prove how "stanky" you really are? During a marathon, no less?

    :shitstorm:

OK Rizz. Link us to THREE spot-on threads by MIXUM that we don't want to admit to. The only condition is that they have to be threads where he didn't contradict himself (or reality) this season. Should be a piece of cake, right?

    MIXUM, Mr. Consistency.
