Well, again, I did have a disclaimer on a previous post stating my hatred for LeBron, which is partially why I'd love to see him not win the MVP. And believe me, I completely understand why he's going to win an MVP. He's got the numbers, he's on the best team in the NBA, and is the only reason why they're successful. I understand all the reasoning behind him winning it, I just hate him and would rather him not. I'm not really going to argue against him, because you really can't, I would just like to see some parody and see someone else actually get a chance to win one in the next 5 or 10 years.
why the hell does every topic in this forum turn into "lebron deserves mvp" then "NO HE DOESNT!" then "yes he does" "no he doesnt!". its stupid, i mean who cares really it has nothing to do with winning and is distracting to the rest of the league and its true fans. who cares who the "best" player of the season is, it makes no difference, a more interesting discussion is on the quality of the two top teams cavs and lakers, that way we can annalyze naturally and intelligently, where as comparing individuals just is fruitless and wastefull, its not fukin tennis alright! comparing lebron and kobe is like comparing Ali and sugar ray, they are completely different weights, never fought, and have different styles of boxing. its like comparring schumacher to valentino rossi, yeah they're both racing on a track, but in different vehicles. also how can one hate an nba player, especially one like lebron? i can understand dissliking him, but you surely cant hate him? lastly id just like to add that i have never known of a player who needed an mvp award for people to know he's good. durant knows he's good, we all know he's good, he may have less assists than lebron, but that has nothing to do with individual talent does it, that is to do with the team. you see comparison of players is useless as most of the time people just end up arguing over it, then walk away feeling exactly the way they did before, except a little more angry and a little more jaded. can we stop this nonsensical bullcrap and get on with a worthwhile discussion.
I think it's hard for veteran teams to remain interested during the regular season, a la the Celtics. Complacency kicks in. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Celtics and Lakers rock the playoffs and return to form.
