Defending champ Nick Price feeling a bit rusty for Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Defending champion Nick Price has low expectations for his play at this year's Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. Price recently spent 13 days touring Egypt with his family, getting back to his Jupiter home on Tuesday. With just one day of rest, Price began swinging his clubs again Thursday but didn't like the results. "I'd be very surprised if I contended this week," Price said. "This is a golf course that is very penal, and you have to have your game. Stranger things have happened. It doesn't mean I'm not going to try and give it my best, but it wasn't exactly the way I wanted to come in here. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/golf...ng-a-bit-rusty-for-outback-steakhouse/1087797
O'Meara early leader in Outback Pro-Am Former Masters' champ, Mark O'Meara, fired an opening round 65, to grab the early lead in the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. The winds were gentle on the TPC Tampa Bay course, which helped the scores stay low. O'Meara shot a 29 on the front 9, which was his back 9 since he began play this morning on number-10. He had 6 birdies on that side.
Langer takes 1-shot lead in Outback Pro-Am Bernhard Langer birdied number-18, to grab a one-stroke lead, after two rounds of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am at TPC Tampa Bay. Langer racked up 4 birdies on the back 9, to finish a round of 66 and go 9-under-par for the tournament.
Langer Declared Winner in Rain-Wracked Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Bernhard Langer was declared the winner of the Champions Tour's Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am in Lutz, Fla. The final round was canceled after heavy rains made the host site, TPC Tampa Bay, unplayable. With rounds of 67 and 66, Langer finished at 9-under 133. Mark O'Meara and Mike Reid ended up in second one stroke back, while Tom Kite was another shot behind in solo fourth.
