They got the best PG (when healthy) in the league in CP3. And they also got 2 VERY nice young rookie guards in Collison and Thornton.

Our PGs suck. Considering NO has an influx in good guards, I think the Lakers really should look into dealing with them.

    Just a thought....

I've always said Bynum for CP3 would be interesting. But, PIPE DREAM.

More than likely we use the MLE, or part of it this offseason to get a PG.

I'm really sick of Drew and his injuries. He's a nice player but never stays healthy. As good as he is, and as good as he can be, I hope the management shops him around in the offseason to see what we can get in return. His production means nothing if he goes down every year when we need him most, and his play in the postseason this year better not be the shit we witnessed last year in the postseason.

I'm honestly losing patience. We cannot keep hoping and waiting on him every year with Kobe/Pau/Ron/LO in their prime, and Phil on the verge of retirement. It's time to win now. Drew is just not dependable at all.

I think Boozer was on the table for Bynum at one point this season?

I would have loved Bosh for Bynum + a 1st rounder.

Why you all want a big in return if we trade Bynum?? I like the Pau/LO/Artest frontcourt, that's still the best frontcourt in the league.

I think the Lakers need to at least LOOK at the possibility of acquiring CP3. Give them Sasha (expiring contract), first rounder and cash and take James Posey
    (For NO)
    PG Darren Collison
    SG Marcus Thornton
    SF David West
    PF Emeka Okafor
    C Andrew Bynum

    (For us)
    PG CP3
    SG Kobe
    SF Ron Artest
    PF Lamar Odom
    C Pau Gasol

    Waive Posey

New Orleans is just a piece or two away from being a threat in the west (VERY young team, long in the frontcourt, will be hard for opponents to score in the paint), while the Lakers become the best team in basketball again.

Pipe Dream, but anything can happen in this league....

Because Artest and LO are interchangeable at the 3, and IDC what anyone saws, Luke Walton, when healthy, has been pretty reliable at the 3. No point in having Posey, really.

    Either way though.

Also, may want to keep some space for any draft pick.

I don't know if Bynum can even stay on the court. Boozer's going to get resigned by Utah they totally changed their views on him. The Heat should have signed Boozer too, they wanted to get rid of him badly before.

Thats stupid. Offer something better to the Hornets, it's insulting. Bynum isn't even an all-star, he's just a notch above Greg Oden. If anything, we'd have to offer up Artest, Bynum and 2 future first rounders. And even then, that might not be enough

    That's way too much.

Why wouldn't they accept Bynum? True, he's had his injuries, but he's bounced back each time. CP3 has been out most the year, who says he's going to return to form? Also, Okafor sucks, Bynum would be a HUGE improvement over him at center, and who knows, Okafor at PF may be very effective. And Collison has proven he can carry the team as well.

What has Bynum ever done even with his "bouncing back"? He had his best season this year, and he only played in 65 games at 30 minutes a night. That doesn't even beat Paul's rookie year.

Chris Paul is still 24 and has had MVP like seasons, not pseudo-all-star production like Andrew.

Huev said it already so i'll just add that Chris Paul is a top 5 player in the world (along with Kobe, Lebron, DWade, Dwight). Bynum isn't even a top 25 (maybe higher) player.

If New Orleans ever offered that deal I threw up, I'd jump on that as quick as Tiger's child support.
