1) trade caledron plus our lottery pick for corey maggete and anthony randolph why? maggete draws fouls and this team struggles getting to the line and randolph is a cheap arse replacement for bosh and he's freakishly talented. 2) resign amir for 3 years and 15 million 3) sign juwan howard for vet exception 4) allow bosh to go and if u can acquire a trade exception or young talent, all the better 5)) trade banks, evans and sonny weems (all expiring) and derozan for monta ellis 6) resign wright for 3 years and 7.5 million 7) sign keith bogans to a 2 year, 4 million our project lineup with these changes pg: ellis sg: wright sf: hedo pf: amir c: bargs reserves pg: jack sg: bogans, beli sf: maggette pf: anthony randolph, dorsey c: howard
u do realize that we won 40 games this year and what ive essentially done is swap bosh, caledron, weems, derozan, banks , evans for ellis, maggette, randolph, juwan howard, keith bogans. thats an upgrade in my opinion and u're entitled to think what u want but im right.
getting Monta would be cool, I think he's definitely available because of Curry but do we have to break the bank for him?
Out of curiousity, you are COMPLETELY changing the core of your team. How do you know these guys right off the bat are gonna play well together and actually win games? Also, c'mon, Monta is a BALLHOG, idk why you guys would want him. True, I'm a Laker fan, but I think you're better off just trading CB for Bynum and a pick, and picking up a PG with the MLE. You're team is not a "win now" team but a rebuilding team. They, historically, have a shitty first season together.
let me add to the rationale behind the trades: 1) the warriors have randolph and wright who both play the same position. one would think that one would be swapped to help balance out the roster. and maggette for caledron is an equitable trade for both sides 2) as for ellis being sent here- the warriors would be getting nearly 10 million in cap relief and savings in the tens of millions over the life of ellis' contract plus two legit prospects in weems and derozan. in fact, i cant think of a broderline all star like ellis who was traded for more in recent history. 3) as for ellis' penchant to be a chucker- he hasnt exactly played around a great supporting cast and many of those shots can be attributed to nelson's anything goes offense
You told me why they would do it, but why would Toronto do it?? And please try and argue against why you think I'm wrong.
why should toronto do it? it gives us better roster balance (better depth at every position to insulate us from injury and better allocation of salaries); and improves our defense in the process
Ok, lets get crazy. Toronto trades... Chris Bosh 16.4 S&T LA Clippers trade... Chris Kaman 15.3 (4.0TK), 8th pick 2010 Toronto trades... Jose Calderon 9.0, Hedo Turkoglu 9.8, 13th pick 2010 Washington trades... Gilbert Arenas 17.7, 5th pick 2010 Toronto releases... Patrick O'Bryant Toronto signs... Amir Johnson (3/15), Antonie Wright (3/12), Rasho Nesterovic (1/2) Toronto drafts... Wesley Johnson (5th), Ed Davis (8th) Arenas, Jack, Banks DeRozan, Wright Weems, Johnson Bargnani, Davis, Evans Kaman, Johnson, Nesterovic
not going to happen speeds. the centrepiece of your overhaul is trading for arenas and in spite of arenas' very public baggage- i dont see washington taking both caledron and hedo when one considers the substantial term left on both of their contracts. as for the clippers S&T with bosh- first, bosh has to agree to sign with the clippers and thats a little far fetched considering their history and the fact that they are worse off than us in terms of talent than us. although, i love your passion!!!
More realistically, trade Bosh for Bynum and a pick. trade calderon and your pick to SA for Tony Parker sign tmac or bell (more likely bell) for the MLE (may or may not be possible) PG Tony Parker SG TMac/Raja Bell SF Turkoglu PF Bargnani C Bynum 6th Man DeRozan Pretty solid team with veteran leadership. I like Raja Bell b/c he makes you guys a MUCH tougher team as well. Bynum is a TRUE center, and Bargnani plays the position he would be more effective. And of course, if Tony Parker is healthy he is a difficult cover for anybody.
thats realistic but i dont see san antonio taking back caledron. and vince carter coming back is more of a possibility than tmac, considering he trashes the city every chance he gets.
