Restricted free agent tackle Antonio Johnson signed a one-year contract that should keep intact the Indianapolis Colts' interior defensive line for 2010. Like Daniel Muir, the other starter at defensive tackle, and safety Melvin Bullitt, Johnson accepted a tender for $1.684 million. That leaves the Colts with two restricted free agents not under contract: safety Antoine Bethea and offensive tackle Charlie Johnson. Antonio Johnson was taken in the fifth round of the 2007 draft by Tennessee. He spent that season on injured reserve with a knee issue and was on the Titans' practice squad when the Colts signed him as a free agent Nov. 5, 2008. Johnson (6-3, 310 pounds) started four games that season and 15 in 2009.
