What current players do you think will make the Hall of Fame, based on what they've accomplished so far? (For example, don't say Chris Paul because if he stopped playing after this season he wouldn't get in.)

So your saying if they retired right now, would they get in?Based on that, it would be Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Shaq, Gary Payton, Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace, Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Dikembe Mutombo, Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzki. I know there has to be a few others, i just cant think of any.

Paul Pierce isn't even a top 3 swingman and hasn't even got to NBA finals to at least fluff up the accomplishments list.

I veiw Kobe as a better shooter overall, but 3 point, no contest Ray.Ok to make it fair I think Peirce would make it if he retired right now.

That's ridiculous.

Ray is a very good player and has a better all around game than most people give him credit for. That said, I still do agree Pierce is definitely a better player, but it's not as bad as you have made it to sound.

All Ray has on him is shooting, and you don't make it to the Hall of Fame just because you can shoot.

Players usually make it for the one facet of the game they dominate. Pierce has only been a GREAT player for 3 years in his whole career, and has never been the best at what he does. He has never been best swingman, never been best scorer. Ray has been the best shooter in NBA for 6-8 years now,a nd that alone puts him up there with Bird, Reggie, etc... Even though Pierce as a whole is a far bette rplayer, Ray has a much better shot at making the HoF because he dominates the league in shooting.

Hes a good, consistant player, but he's DEFINALY not HOF material... at least yet.Webber shouldn't either. He's a good player, but not HOF candidate by a long shot.I agree w/ everyone else on your list.

I don't think he should make it over Pierce just because he's a superior in one category, when Pierce has the better all around game. I'm not sure if the fact that he was good at one aspect of the game is enough to get him in over players who were great at everything. That would be like putting Theo Ratliff in the HoF over Amare, because Amare isn't the best at anything and Theo is an amazing shot blocker.

i think the difference between theo and wallace is that wallace. puts fear in opponents, hussels. controls the boards. and completely changes the game because of the things that he does. plus he also steals the ball and is 4 time DPOY
