City Determined To Seal Fourth Place After Derby Defeat

Manchester City left-back Wayne Bridge is convinced that the last-minute defeat to Manchester United on Saturday will galvanise Roberto Mancini's side, making them even more determined to seal a fourth-placed Premier League finish.

With four games left everything is still to play for in the battle for Champions League places, and Bridge believes that City still have their fate in their own hands.

"Losing like we did was agonising, especially as we didn’t deserve to be beaten like that," the defender told his club's official website.

"I thought we deserved more than we got, even more than the draw that we nearly had. They have done it to us before and it has happened again. We just can’t afford to switch off like we did for the last ten seconds or so.

Liverpool, City, and Tottenham all have great chances of getting fourth but my money is on Sp*rs (puke).

I'm hoping City get it, it'll be cool to have to Manchester teams in there.
