Morrow had a good start today when I checked earlier. So if Vargas and Fister keep up their good work, I think Snell might be out of a job soon.
Fister had a no hitter going into the 7th today. His last 2 starts have been great while Vargas has been too. I'm interested to see who Wak takes out of the rotation when Lee and Bedard come into play.
thank GOD! Now for Bedard. And finally, Rowland doesn't have to matchup with sometimes the #2-3 pitchers. He's a decent pitcher, but let's be honest, his peak is at #4 starter.
Vargas has almost as many k's as Felix...speaking of felix, not to jinx anything but I'm expecting an epic night from Felix
King Felix threw a 1-Run Complete game in a 4-1 win thanks to a Jack Wilson baseloaded, base clearing double yesterday.
Doug Fister w/ another gem. You know what's surprising though? Aardsma choke job! WTF? Back to back walk-off losses to the Chi-Sox
Tough series, yet another late inning 1-run loss to the Chi-Sox I can't believe how heartbreaking each of these games were.
Damn, we lose on a King Felix day This team needs a real lift offensively right now. Our DH spot has been horrible with Griffey and Sweeney, and this is suppose to be our one free spot to put a bat. We might as well use our pitchers with Griffey batting .200. I wish they would just move Bradley there or bring in Dye, or perhaps just call up Michael Saunders who was a big spark last year with his glove and decent bat.
No, b/c I do also. I don't know why Wak has shut down the running game so much. I mean, we've basically only taken the "super freebie" bases in the last two weeks or so. We should be running all over the place, b/c there aren't a whole lot of catchers that are defensive-minded in the AL. It's nice to see that our pitchers are getting quality starts in, but it's for naught if you keep coughing up 8th-inning leads.
