Ariza is obviously a stretch, but Ive always liked him. I doubt hell end up getting playing time to prove himself enough, but I think he would be capable of producing if he got the oppurtunity. Most Improved Player 2007: Jameer Nelson

Hey BCB, I agree with you on Benga...I think he'll become a decent role player at center, but he won't be in the discussion next year. But I also saw you post that Harris is the only Mav who could be on this list, and not to make homer picks.Well if you think Tayshaun shoudl be included...then Josh Howard sure as hell should be included too.But since I don't think Howard is in a Diaw type of anonimity right now, he won't be...and neither will Tayshaun.Heck if Howard actually had plays run for him he'd average over 20 ppg too...but right now he scores on rebounds and hussle plays.

Depends what you mean. You cant really guess who will come out of know where, because if you are then they arent literally breaking out unexpectad;y. If you mean just a player that will break out and be in the running for MIP then IMO it will definetly be Iggy Hops. He is due to break out this season, and he will be putting up very similar numbers to Diaw, but maybe average a few more points. Expect a lot from AI 2 next season. Him and AI can be the best 1-2 punch next season if he does break out.

I love 'Dre, but I don't see a huge jump from him unless Iverson or Webber are gone. I'd love to get Webber out of town, but that is a lot easier said than done. If only Isiah Thomas still wanted him... anyway, I'd love to buy him out so that Iggy could get some more touches. But, Iguodala's main problem is his lack of aggressiveness, and only he can change that.

Doubt he'll be getting dealt, but I think Tony Allen has a shot at getting MIP. Injury riddled last year, and had some off court problems. He came back for the last 50 games, played hurt for about 20-25 games and finished the season strong. Next year I could see him being a 6th man getting 16/5/3 off the bench, similar to what Ricky Davis did. Plus the kid can play some defense too. Real underrated player.
