I actually kind of think the Lakers will throw a little bit of money at him; they need a floor spacer to replace Fisher at least as a backup, but yeah, I can see Miami taking a flier on him, especially with their unsettled situation with Chalmers and Arroyo.

Blake would work well with Kobe actually. If he signs, I'm getting a Blake Laker jersey!

I could see Blake going to the Lakers. He more often than not stepped it up when we played LA. They probably prefer to have him on their side.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Blake is going to go to the Lakers and hit a shot that beats Portland in game 7 of a WCF.

He'll do nothing else. Just that. And then probably retire.

I could see Blake tearing it up in LA and a bunch of Blazer fans complaining about how we gave up on him too soon.

Right up to the point where Camby caps him from behind on a rare Steve Blake foray toward the hoop.

Blake played the best basketball of his career with the Clippers including a triple double in a closing night blowout of the Lakers. Lots of teams will want Blake. Outlaw wasn't great but he wasn't awful either. His closing night game was good too.

On a horrible Clippers team. I still think some of Blake's best and most consistent play was that 1/2 season in Denver. Still surprised the Nuggets didn't do more to retain him at that time.

Call it morbid fascination, but I watched about fifteen Clippers games after the trade to see how Blake and Catfish were doing, and I can safely say that you grossly overestimate their contributions to that team; they were both very very mediocre for the most part, although Steve was modestly successful at times.

I already posted this, but Blake shot 44% from 3 pt and handed out 6 apg in 26 minutes. I'm not sure what else one could expect from a back-up PG on a very bad team.

I watched about ten games and came to the same conclusion, I'm not sure what KS saw outside of one or two good games. +1

    PER of 11, 34% from 3pt, 6.8 assists/36 minutes in Denver.

In terms of personal stats, Blake played the best ball of his career for the Clippers. 44% 3pt, 8.4 assists/36, 44% FG.

Maybe he looked at the stats? Or did Blake hand out all of his assists and achieve a 44% 3pt in one or two games? I only saw him play a few times for the Clips, but I don't put much stock in my own eyeball test, let alone other people's.

Again, on a horrible Clippers team. Blake drew rave reviews for his running of the Thugs in Denver.

Hey, I'm not saying Blake was great at all, but shooting 44% from 3pt and handing out 8.4 assists/36 isn't really a product of how good or bad a team is. One could say that those numbers are even more impressive considering the clods he had to play with in LA.

    He had a 56.7 TS% and a 55.7 eFG%, both career bests, and a solid 34.7 AST% with a USG% of 14.1.

And a win % of 25.9. I know how much you loved to tout that for Blake previously. You know who was worse on The Clippers than that? Nobody.
