Hmmm... maybe it is confusion on my part but wasn't it going to be 116 in July? I guess that show is in Vegas and this Boston show is later on.
UFC 118 would take place around October, assuming they go at the pace of one numbered show a month. I think the Boston show is 116.
No, I think it is right. UFC 116 in Vegas on July 3rd. UFC 117 in Salt Lake on August 7th. UFC 118 in Boston on August 28th.
It's gonna suck of Penn and Florian win these fights. I don't think Florian has improved enough to win a rematch at all. He's the lightweight answer to Rich Franklin fighting at middleweight. better than everyone else except for the champ.
who knows speeds, he needs to have at least tried it in their first fight to have an idea. I cannot foresee Penn looking so anemic the 2nd time around. I haven't seen him look so bad in a fight for a few years. He had no energy from start to finish.
^ Maybe but lazy/disinterested is not totally out of the norm for him, either. He looked that way at times against Florian and Sanchez as well before turning it on. He never flipped the switch against Edgar--perhaps because Edgar's pace wore him out.
Just a guess but based on the shows I've been to the worst seats in the lower bowl will be at least $200, going up to $800 for the middle and floor seats. Ringside usually are available aftermarket and go up steeply as you get closer to the Octagon. Nosebleeds start around $50 but usually you'll be stuck buying slightly more expensive seats, more than $50 but less than $100 based on what they have available. In my experience the difference between the cheapest seats and the next two or three tiers can be as little as five-ten rows. There were about six rows behind us at the MGM and we had 3rd tier priced seats though it is a smaller venue than the Garden. If you're trying to get tickets you need to join UFC Fight Club so you can get access to the pre-sale. Tickets often sell out before going public--scalpers on StubHub buy up way too much. After the pre-sale you're going to be paying 50%+ more for the tickets on SH.
^ Also, FYI, when tickets went on sale for UFC 114 in Vancouver they sold out in the first 30mins of the pre-sale. I think Boston will be a similar market so make sure you are at your computer at the exact second it begins.
