http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/04/1...slamic-web-site-takes-on-south-park/?hpt=Sbin Mohammed in a bear suit triggers death threats. How fucking infantile is this shit.
What's a little bit fucked up is that Google pulled all "South Park Jesus Mohammed" images. I know because I posted one the other day on some site. This will have to suffice. Did the Buddhists and Christians also send death threats?
Sounds exactly like what SP expected, I reckon. Matt & Trey were outspoken in support of the cartoonist when the shit hit the fan a couple years back and hugely critical of the media (including CC) for not showing the cartoon and basically adhering to the threats of the extremists. Seems like they aren't ready to give up that fight--and I suppose the nuts aren't, either.
Are you sure you don't have content filtering on your google image search? http://images.google.ca/images?q=mo...ent=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
By the way, South Park has had an image of Mohammed in the intro of every episode this season. Nobody cared.
Didn't the creators get in trouble for making fun of Tom Cruise too much? Heres the update as several celebs are suing as well. April 19, 2010. http://www.examiner.com/x-17468-Chi...celebrities-sue-South-Park-in-200th-episodeso
There used to be an image of Jesus and Mohammed standing side by side with no one else in the image. It's gone now. Weird.
Muhammad, a member of Revolution Muslim, repeated the group’s assertion that the post was a prediction rather than a threat. He said that the post on the group’s blog “was intended in a principle that’s deeply rooted in the Islamic religion, which is called commanding the good and forbidding the evil,” Err, so to support his assertion that the speech was not a threat, he described it as tied to an imperative - "commanding" or "forbidding" an action. Mmmkay.
