-Like Marcus a ton because he is a loyal person
-They did everything they could to make him comfortable, and they felt like Marcus was part of the family after a while.
-Negotiations started 10 days ago, Marcus loves the players here
-Greg will not be back for the playoffs
-They are taking a long-term approach

-Felt like game 1 was a typical playoff game, doesn't matter how you play as long as you get the w

-KP is only worried about the current playoff series
-He loves this organization and the people he works with
-He wants to be here long-term

-When talking about the "core" he left Oden out
-Camby has at least two years left
-The thing that allows Camby and Howard to continue to play is "smarts"

He did, and I think the fact that there is no gag on him is also a positive.

This organization is all about high character and KP helps set the standard.

In KP I trust, and I trust he will be back next year

I caught that too ... and while I don't necessarily want to read too much in to an omission, the way he left him out in this phrase, "[Our core of] Brandon, LaMarcus ... <long, hesitant, pause> ... Nic, and Rudy" made it sure seem like he was picking his words carefully at the very least.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like he's moved on a little bit ... as in, restricted free agency for Gregory Wayne.

So when you say "this organization" you must be excluding Paul Allen, the owner of the team? :dunno:

Because a billionaire who declares bankruptcy and runs out on his debts to over a dozen Portland small businesses simply so he can stock a better grade of caviar in one of his enormous yachts doesn't exactly jive with the phrase "high character". :tsktsk:

Dis-loyal, fraudulent, arrogant, egotistical, dis-honorable, backstabber, heartless, ungratious, cheater...

These labels seem much more fitting.

As much as I'm a huge Oden fan, its hard to consider him a core member when he has played one full season in 3. If he comes back and plays almost all of next year with little to no injuries then you keep him and match any offer someone gives him. Only when that happens would I consider him part of the "Core" again.
I am in no way giving up on Oden and think he is going to be a beast and a half next year.

    What Mixum heard...

    - Knew we had to settle with an aging center like Camby because no decent FA will come to Portland.
    - Camby's wife hates it here. We tried to show her around the city but she and her kids will not be moving here.
    - When Camby found out how much we over paid Roy and LMA he knew he was going to bend us over and stick it to us.
    - Greg is a bust. We should have drafted Durant.
    - Hoping we can keep Oden from playing long enough that insurance pays 80% of his salary.

    - Felt like game 1 was a typical Blazer playoff game with the 4th qrt missed dunks and freethrows. It was a miracle we won.

    - KPee is only worried about the current playoff series but his agent has been sending out resumes and he's already put the house for sale.
    - He's been easily able to fool this organization and the people he works with but the Vulcans in Seattle know how bad of a GM he is.
    - He wants Marlene to be here long-term so he can date a new dancer at the next team he works for.
