Good OP, KingSpeed. One of the things I've liked is that the players, whether or not Nate's had a hand in it behind the scenes, have started playing much more uptempo off of defensive stops and turnovers. You heard it in the last game: the talk of "play early or late" where Nate wanted the team to utilize the first 5 seconds and score quickly or make the other team play 20 seconds of defense.

When Blake and Roy were running the show earlier in the year, this wasn't being implemented (again, dunno if it was b/c of Nate not preaching it or the team not listening). I'm happy to see that a even a few more opportunities are being taken to get easy scores.

They've won exactly 1 playoff game.

    Calm down Alice.

Absolutely right. The captains of the ship are the 3 veterans who learned the game from other NBA coaches. The passengers going along for the ride are the players who have only had Nate for a coach.

I THINK WE CAN NOW SAY THAT NATE HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Any other questions? Didn't think so!!!!

Here's to the great coaching of letting Rudy play all game and get abused, here's to not attacking the paint, here's to allowing yet another layup dunk highlight reel to be created at the expense of the great DEFENSIVE minded NATE McMuffin! Losing game 2 was in my eyes a given, getting bitch slapped for the country to see, that's coaching!!

    WOW!!!!

Game 2, 2000 WCF: Portland 106 Lakers 77 (In Los Angeles)

Don't get too bent out of shape about getting beat by 29 points in a game 2. It didn't seem to hurt the Lakers, and they lost that game at home. How did that series end up again? I can't remember.

I vaguely remember that Laker team being down 15 in the 4th quarter on their home floor in game 7 (everything after that is blank)--do you really trust this Blazer team to be able to win a series from that point?

Um...... I know exactly how it ended Portland got bent over and horse mounted by the refs so that Kobe and Shaq could win their first championship. That was the series that Sheed got booted for looking at a ref, just looking! Sabonis was not even allowed to play defense and Kobe was given calls that to this date with superstar status still can't be understood by anyone with a basketball IQ!

One other thing to note, the Lake Show had Kobe, Shaq, Horry, Fisher, Shaw and Fox all healthy and the best coach in basketball making adjustments between games. Think we have that kind of talent? HMMMMMM!!!

I'd take that same scenerio again. Up 15 with 9 minutes left on the road in Game 7. Wouldn't you?

Wait, so are you happy we lost? What the fuck is with those who find more happiness in losing, but being right on the internet, than being wrong, and actually winning a game. It's pathetic. Yay, I looked smart on the internet, but my team lost? what the fuck? Priorities, jackass.

Who cares? The series is tied, and we're heading home. If we lose games 3 and 4, then you can panic. I'm happy where we are right now.

Good grief, it seems like you were probably rooting for the Blazers to lose, just so you could could get a little shot of self worth. :tsktsk: What are you, 12? Laker boards are that way >>>
