First, KP is allowed to work the Camby extension.

Then he was on the radio today, sounding as positive and chipper as I've heard in quite some time.

    Now, this from Canzano:

I sure hope KP is getting back in PA's good graces.

PA just had to make him sweat a little bit, that's all.

Get Darren Collison from the Hornets and all is forgiven with that whole Oden over Durant thing KP.

Collison for Rudy would be nice. I'm not sure the Hornets would make that deal, but Rudy would be very good next to Chris Paul

What evidence do you have that he had anything to do with the Camby negotiations? And the reason he was chipper to Canzano is that the Oregonian is his biggest fan.

Frankly I don't think Rudy would be good next to anyone, maybe with CP3 he just does not look quite as bad. God he is sucking, it's 4 on 5 with him in there.

All I could think of when reading this blurb from Canzano, was the scene from The Godfather where Pacino kisses Fredo before sending him to his death.

Thats what the guys on wheels at work said yesterday. Canzano also mentioned it in the interview with KP.

"I know it was you Kevin, and you broke my heart."

If PA asks KP to go fishing on Oswego Lake, I'd be concerned.

this latest KP on the outs? melodrama fueled by the local boys who cried wolf media... good grief... why not just follow the daily soaps? They've repeatedly proven themselves outside the loop of Blazer goings on (as well they should be) yet posters go hook line and sinker for the latest trumped up speculations every time. Do you really believe their stuff or do you just enjoy being in a tizzy?

We'll see how KP's future plays out soon enough in the offseason but I'm baffled how anyone expects to bring up for debate information gathered from Canzano and pals and be taken seriously

Eh, maybe you're right. But the Penn thing blindsided me, and then all of a sudden KP looks like someone kicked his puppy at the news conference. Larry Miller doesn't back him up at all, and then KP and Allen don't sit together.

Since there are others out there who are worried like me, I thought I'd update them with some positive news. Sorry to disturb you!

I have said it before. The firing of Penn was just a shot across the bow to get KP to align with the team. I am pretty sure that besides financial elements, that the management team was fracturing with Penn and KP hanging together. Firing Penn eliminated the rogue element, and brought KP back into the fold.

Classic! (The movie and the reference.)

I'm curious what your and others' thoughts are on what those rogue or misaligned elements were? Just the Roy/Aldridge extensions or disagreement over the direction of the team? I always thought the latter was the one area where Pritchard had the full backing Allen, other than recent [unfounded] speculation that Allen doesn't think Pritchard can swing the big trade to put the team over the top.

The firing of Penn was just that, Penn getting fired. The fact that he was fired out from under KP speaks more to how egregious an offense Penn committed than it does to KP being given some sort of vague "shot across the bow."

Nice work if you can get it. How hard is it for Paul Allen's guys to negotiate a Blazers contract: 'We are offering you the highest salary and the most incentive money the league will allow. Take it our leave it.'

Exactly. They maxed out Camby on his available extension limit, AND they added some incentive money on top of it. Not exactly playing hardball, is it?
