The New York Yankees won over the… wait a second. I just want you to know that, that line never gets old. Never. This is the line I’m talking about…. The New York Yankees won over… It’s an underrated line. It will never get old. Let me amplify it’s importance… The New York Yankees won over the Oakland Athletics by a score of 7-3.(ESPN) Yankee fans. Please listen up. What the New York Yankees basically did was beat the A’s down like they stole something. They invaded the A’s territory in a blaze of glory. They are massacring teams at an alarming rate and the A’s were their latest victim. Just think, you have to face, C.C. Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, Andy Pettitte and now an effective Javier Vazquez which makes the Yankees’ pitching even more potent. Vazquez gave up three earned runs in 5.1 innings but he got the job done. He pitched as a visitor and he got the JOB done! His six strike outs were very impressive as was his curve ball. His curve ball was harmful to the A’s. It was unhealthy for the A’s to face those curve balls because Vazquez was SICK. He was sick with domination. They had to face a harsh reality and it was named Javier Vazquez. What A’s fans also had to watch was when the Yankees were up at bat. They had to watch Alex Rodriguez detonate and explode. They had to watch Alex Rodriguez, also known as A-Rod, shatter the A’s pitching with menacing blows. The line he had was incredible. It was beyond belief and superhuman. One for two with two runs scored, a home run, three RBI and an incredible three walks. When he hits the ball, it has that “smack” sound that you know it’s gone. YOU know it, I know and the opponent knows it. Yankee fans? Welcome aboard. It wasn’t all about A-Rod however. It was about the whole lineup that walked 10 total times. Read it again, 10, I said, TEN total times. The Yankees must be best friends with A’s first baseman Daric Barton by now. They must know his whole life story since they were standing on first so much. Jorge Posada and Nick Swisher also had big fat games by driving in two runs a piece. Yes, Yankee fans. The Yankees had a scare in the seventh inning with the bases loaded and two outs when the A’s where up at bat. Like a hero out of the bat cave, Joba Chamberlain came in the game and discarded Kevin Kouzmanoff with an overwhelming slider. Then god came in the game soon after that and it was… game over! Mariano and the Yankees win!!
