in sports illustrated this week, i read an article and it said that mr.mikey said the suns kicked the lakers' ass. that pisses me off. first of all, they barely made it out of the series. second of all, they should respect the LAKERS for whipping their asses in game 2 and 3.

My respect for him went down a lot after hearing this... what an idiot.I think they were pretty lucky to even win it.

Could somebody please post the exact quote, or possibly link to the article (if it is online). I'd like to read the quote in context before commenting.

Who was on the cover of this week's magazine? I'm going to try to find it and see if I can read the article, but if he said that then it is completely classless.

Actually, in a way you could say that the Lakers completely lost that series, and of course in a way you can't say it either. You have to take into account that yes, they did lose a 3-1 series lead, and yes they did get blown out in Game 7.However, you also have to take into account that the Lakers were up in that series when not very many people expected them to be.

if they completely lost, like as in term " got their ass kicked " they would have been swept, ot lost in 5 games. but it took the suns 7 games. i dont consider that getting their ass kicked.

They should of won. The Suns really didnt do anything that different in the last 3 games than they did in the first 4. The Lakers just started missing shots and quit the game plan of working the ball into the low post. Even though i picked the Lakers in the series, i still think they choked. :no3:

I have to agree the Lakers choked. They had it in there pocket to get it finished in the 6th game at home but they couldn't. After we lost that game I knew our chances of winning were gone. I guess after they lost game 5 all there confidence was thrown out the window. But it's cool we had a great season and did a good job in the playoffs. Next year we'll do better.
