    Embattled Ribery ready for Lyon

The Bayern winger is one of four French footballers implicated in a sex scandal, and is accused of sleeping with a 17-year-old prostitute - which is below the age limit for legal prostitution in France.

However, he has been given the backing of the French FA and his club, and will start for the Bundesliga giants at the Allianz Arena tonight.

A French FA statement said: "The FFF wishes to state its attachment to the presumption of innocence principle and express its faith in the judicial process."

Bayern withdrew Ribery from a press conference on Tuesday, and have not made any public statements.

The 27-year-old Ribery, who is married, told magistrates he "saw the girl over a number of months in 2009" but denied knowing she was under-age.

Another of the accused, Sidney Govou, is likely to be on the bench for Lyon, while two more former Lyon players - Karim Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa have also been named.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas also said he would stand by Govou as the case continues to rock French football less than two months before the World Cup in South Africa.

"Sidney came to see me in my office before the team left Lyon for Munich on Monday and his explanations were convincing," said Aulas.

"His lawyer has confirmed he was not involved and, obviously, I'm absolutely ready to believe him."

    It's going to be a Bayern-Inter final.

And I'll bet money that Bayern will win. I predicted this when they assembled the team, and remember they had to qualify for the champions league.
