The skinny on Oden?

Hey everyone, I've been super busy with my father's passing and have been way out of the loop. I'm curious what is the scoop on Oden? Any reports coming out other then G.O. on the GO? I'm too busy to do a bunch of searches. Anyone have any definitive links on the low down?

that seems to be the million dollar question these days. seems like its 50/50 on wether he will be ready to go by camp. if you really read into camby signing... you could argue that was the biggest reason for signing him to an extension.

With Marcus Camby in the lineup there's no need to bring him back this season, and with him locked up there won't be any rush. Their playing it safe at this point.

Greg will do great with some pressure taken off him with MC around. IMO, GO was doing too much too early, he needs to get back to basics and now he'll have a great teacher for that

I'm so sorry to hear about your father's passing. I hope he went peacefully and you and your family are doing okay.

As for GO, I think he's pretty much on schedule. The last I heard his patella was fully healed and he was doing strength work. There was a setback with some swelling, but he should be ready to go come training camp.

 

quick said it on the game... he said the blazers are keeping odens status under wraps and that his sources say that oden isnt coming along as well as they had hoped.

 

The voices in his head... and they have him all Mixumed up.

You've been known to purposefully misinterpret interviews/comments/conversations and spread your twisted version as fact. No one else has said Quick suggested Greg will be 50/50 heading into camp, so until there is I'll just consider it another Mixum lie.

 

Nothing about Oden is skinny - did you not see the pics?

Oden will be on 95.5 THE GAME in about 10 minutes. Maybe drop a line.

Thanks for all the condolences guys. Here's hoping we advance to the next round and get a healthy Roy. Good to be getting some real minutes for Bayless, Martell and Batum. I'm hoping Batum is ok to go tonight. I'm worried about his shoulder even though it sounds not too bad.

what pics? I think people just don't get Oden as he is an odd duck. Everyone was cursing him all last summer and then he was the first or second best center in the NBA until he went down. He was no worse then 2nd after D12 and was arguably better then Howard on defense (Averaged more blocks!!! better DTRTG). I expect everyone to curse him all summer and then be blown away all over again. The guy is just weird, a TERRIBLE interviewee and overly nice. Get over it guys and watch him play. He's wortless behind a mic and deadly in the paint. I think I will take that combo over the reverse.
