The Suns are playing phenomenal ball at both ends of the court. Our guys were draped all over their shooters most of the game and they hit some amazingly difficult 3's. Missing 3 of our best players and our 2 best defenders I'm not sure what anyone expects us to do differently. Rudy or Jerryd is not Roy, Camby will never be Joel or Greg. It's a bit late to change the style of the offense to feature the bench guards, and while Camby blocks and rebounds at a high pace he has never been feared for the hurt Joel can put on someone trying to get to the basket. If Nate has failed it is in not finding a way to make these guys believe they can win it and get them to show their mean streak. They seem like nice guys, maybe they don't have one. An amazing steal to get Game 1 and they should be proud of that.
Thank you. I would love to see the Suns without Amare and Nash, or Jason Richardson being the one hurt instead of Batum. When a team finds out that we have a PG who usually is able to drive to the lane but can't because of our limited scoring options around him, and a PF who is double teamed because we don't have a true scoring threat who he can quickly dish it out to, I'm sure things may go their way. Greg, Roy, Batum, and LA: Only one of them is healthy right now.
I agree for the most part. Although Richardson was wide open too many time for me to say that we were draped all over their shooters. Hopefully we can squeak out game 4 and tie it up...from there, who knows what could happen.
I haven't seen enough of us a) attacking the basket (seemed to work pretty well the odd time we tried it in Games Two and Three), b) attacking Nash -- whoever he is "guarding" (I don't care if it's Mills, there's a mismatch anytime Nash is guarding someone), c) rebounding, especially on the defensive end. All of these things can be done without Roy, Batum or Oden in the lineup.
Sarcasm right? We weren't draped all over Richardson Then why did we trade our two best bench players for him?? I'm very proud of our guys for taking the first series lead this franchise has had in 10 years. But I'm greedy. I want Game 4 and I want Roy back for Game 6.
Our defenders were draped all over them? Did you see Jason Richardson shooting wide open 3's all night? Or my favorite score of JRich's. He get the ball directly under the rim and the Blazer defender goes for a fake pass and leaves him alone under the hoop. That was genius.
Sorry....I am not buying the injuries as an excuse for what has happened the last two games..... A loss I can expect...but I refuse to accept that the ASS KICKING POR has received is soley to blame on injuries..... Guys who NEEDED to step up, quite frankly haven't.... Aldridge says he wants to be an All Star, well guess what, he never will be....not with tissue soft performances like he has put up the last 3 games...I am not a fan of Jaynes but he is 100% correct, when you are getting paid like an All Star, and commenting how you want to be an All Star, you don't shy away from contact, from double teams or taking the big shot....that is where players EARN thier status\pay....I don't know how anyone can say Aldridge has earned anything near that this series.... Aldridge has been a dissapointment, plain and simple....He is more like the 3rd wheel on this team, not the 2nd and nowhere near Roy at the #1 spot....He makes Rasheed Wallace look like a bruiser by comparison.... Rudy Fernandez, get him out of here....Could a guy show any less of a spine? You know I am a big fan of his game, but the fact is he has given up on this team, and IMO that is unforgiveable. When a player does that you ship his ass out the 1st chance you get. Are you listening Kevin Pritchard? I think his performance the past three games has been disgraceful....and I never thought I would say that about him... and while we are at it, maybe KP ought to look into completely overhauling the bench? I will give Webster and Bayless kudos for thier effort...they play hard, they have a little fire in them, but the talent just isn't there people....
