In the 3 games, Amare seems to lose his cool and get flustered very easily. Which is surprising considering they were dominating 2 of the 3 games. I feel that we should be able to take advantage of that. Use Pendergraph on Amare for a few minutes, doing nothing but bumping, grabbing, slapping, and grinding with Amare. Don't even help on defense, or go for blocks. Every shot, box-out HARD on Amare. I have little doubt Amare would get flustered and start getting into foul trouble and / or pick up a T.
Well, yeah, that would help. But part of playoff basketball is being more physical than your opponent. Right now, Amare thinks and knows he is the most physical player on the court, and can do whatever he wants out there.
I'm with Nikolokolokoloklous. Amare plays a physical, intimidating game and knows what the refs will let him get away with in the nastiness department, but he rarely loses his cool. He's usually the calmest guy on the court after being hit with a hard foul like Howard put on him last night.
We took advantage in Game 1. I would say Amare fouling out was a big part of the win. Hopefully will actually play with some fire tomorrow and get at him
