Kobe became the all-time scoring leader for the playoffs for the Lakers. Awesome accomplishment for Kobe. Too bad it came in a loss.

I am pretty shocked you guys lost a game. You also came close to losing game 2. You aren't as strong as I thought.

I figured we would lose last night. We're not the favorites to win it all, that is for damn sure. We've go no bench, Kobe's hurt like a mother fucker, and we don't maximize our gameplan and our best way of winning by giving it to Drew and Gasol damn near every time down the floor. If this team wants to turn this shit around and win another championship, the offense NEEDS to run through Gasol and Bynum. I wish Kobe would get over his ego and play 3rd fiddle. He'll get just as much respect being a facilitator and 2nd/3rd option as he would as being the primary scorer.

Right now, I think Orlando and Cleveland have to be the favorites.

I think you are far and away the favorite to win the west. I think the east is up in the air. Everybody wants LeBron's cock in their mouth, but I don't think the Cavs are winning it.

I think the Lakers are the third seed in these NBA playoffs, and that is a best case scenario.

I don't see us healthy enough to get another title, we'll be fortunate just to hold up in the West. Our second half of the season was progressively worse and Kobe is in a slump due to various factors. Whoever comes out of the East should take it all.

I think Orlando topples Cleveland, again.

It'll be Orlando/LA again IMO, but I don't think LA gets by this year...at least not now. Maybe if they make adjustments and run through their bigs...but Kobe might be too stubborn and Fisher thinks he is fucking Larry Bird.

Fisher is a joke. It is a damn shame we're stuck with him.

It is like trying to win a championship with Adam Morrison starting on your squad.

The scary thing is, Fisher isn't going to retire this year. I hope to God the front office realize that loyalty only goes so far and cut their ties with him as the starter.

Fisher has to go, other than that starting lineup is probably best in the league.

I still have Lakers on top, if Cavs or Orlando are the other team that makes it, if C's then gotta go with the team I root for. ;)

Honestly Derek Fisher has probably been the least of the Lakers problems during this series. Be nice if Artest quit worrying about the design in his head and found some type of offensive rythym. His lack of a positive offensive presence negates anything he does on the defensive end IMO.

And I'll be surprised if the Lakers make it past the second round. That is if they even make it out of this series. All comes down to game 5. Hopefully they show up and bring some effort or pride.

When Fisher is on the court we have out worst defensive stretches. He has the worst defensive rating for us as well. Clearly this is a problem, and for the amount of minutes he plays he's not good offensively either.

lol it seems Artest spends more minutes at changing hairstyles than doing actual work before games.

I agree about the health. I'd be amazed if the Lakers win the title this year with Kobe's injury. The Lakers needed him playing his 'A' game to win last year and right now he's clearly not the same player. Lack of consistent outside shooting is going to hurt us the further we get in the post season.

These are some ugly stats from behind the arc in the post season

    Game 1 vs. OKC - 8/22
    Game 2 vs. OKC - 6/22
    Game 3 vs. OKC - 8/19
    Game 4 vs. OKC - 4/22
    Game 5 vs. OKC - 5/14
Game 6 vs. OKC - 12/24 (only solid outing)

    Game 1 vs. UTAH - 2/12

    Last year in Round 1

    Game 1 vs. UTAH - 7/15
    Game 2 vs. UTAH - 11/20
    Game 3 vs. UTAH - 6/17
    Game 4 vs. UTAH - 8/19
    Game 5 vs. UTAH - 9/21

Our outside shooting has been horrendous in comparison.
