I refuse to root for the L*kers, Jazz, Nuggets, and Jazz. I don't want to root for the Thunder or Spurs. That leaves the Mavs and Suns (should they dispose of the Blazers.) I'll go with the Mavs. I'm rooting for the Hawks in the East as I had lived in The ATL.
I'm going to root for the Suns to run the table, because then we'll be one of many victims and we can maybe rationalize just how shitty we've looked in the past two games Also, fuck the Thunder, do we really want them getting to the second round and gaining post-season confidence?
Either Suns or Mavs from the West, and Cleveland from the East. I'd like to see LeBron get a ring, so if/when we are eliminated, I'll be wanting a Cavs vs. Suns final.
I'm a Blazers fan. Why the FUCK would I root for one of their opponents? No wonder they feel outnumbered on the court, they've got very few genuine fans.
I like watching the bobcats play. Crash is one of my favorite players but theirs no real other team in the league I really care to see win a series. Their are a few matchups that are really fun to watch (spurs/mavs, bobcats/magic, Utah/denver) but I honestly don't care who wins in them.
Spurs first, Blazers second in the West. Couldn't give two shits about any team in the East but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Orlando. More importantly, any team except Boston or Cleveland.
Other things being equal, I root for the underdog. And there are no teams/players, aside from the Blazers, that I really like. The teams/players I really dislike, aside from the Lakers, a given, are Orlando, Dallas, Utah, and Denver. So that makes a Denver-Utah series tought. Technically Utah is the underdog but without their coach Denver seems lost. I have to hope that OKC upsets the Lakers and beats Utah/Denver in the 2nd round. If the Lakers win, though, I will have to root for Utah/Denver, painful as that is, since if the Lakers were playing the Devils from Hell, I'd root for the Devils from Hell. I'd LOVE to see the 6-8 seeds pull upsets!
