I guess it's true once your a Blazer, your always a Blazer. Sad to see this though, you would think at his age, he would know better and be a better influence on the younger players in the league. This hurts the Nets, he was doing well for them.

LOL. I hope hey can get all the "bad guys" out of town now who don't wanna be there, and I hope they just start all over with young guys that want to play. From Sheed, to Cliff, to Damon, I mean when will this madness stop? lol

Cliffy is a good guy though, everyone loves him on the team and he is a solid contributor to the club. He always plays hard and gets along with his teamattes. I thought he has been providing veteran leadership, but clearly you have to be smarter than this, this is the worst possible time to be issued such a suspension. Obviously you never want to see it, but it magnifies when it takes place in a huge second round series with Miami when you are relied on off the bench..Someone is goin to have to step up and fill the void, or we could be in trouble..

I dont, its clearly against the rules, hes gotten in trouble for it before, and he does it again at a time when his team needs him most. This is rediculous that he would let his teamattes down like this and it severly hurts our chances against Miami..

That wont really make much difference. What is he like 51 now? :lol:But seriously, what an idiot. They should trade him to the Blazers. Thats probably where he got his stash from.

This sucks specailly against Shaq. Hopefully John Thomas can pull something out of his 30 year old butt and show the Nets that he is worth a contract next year.

I agree, they needed him to defend Shaq down low. He let down his teammates and all the Nets fans. It was a dumb move by him

Now instead of having a very savy veteran player coming in for Collins or Krstic in troublesome situations, you have John Thomas, a guy who wasnt in the league a month ago who joined the team in the last week of the season...Dont you think the Nets regret trading Marc Jackson now? He would have been a guy to come in off the bench and help defend the big guys in the playoffs..The guy we got in return in the trade, Bostjan Nachbar, is riding the unactive list and not contributing to the game..

Trading Marc Jackson was a dumb, idiotic move. We all know he wasn't a good fit but for a team that needs as many big bodies as they can get, trading Jackson was a bone headed move. I would have at least tried to acquire a contributor, Nachbar wont contribute this year (next year maybe). Especially since Jackson can hit shots too, we gave up a good pieceFor every 5 good Thorn moves, there is always 1 poor one. Just terrible timing

Jackson wasnt playing alot, and in the time he wasnt playing he wasnt producing much, but even at that time we were in need of front court depth. Trading away some of the only depth we had in that area was a dumb move because it left us with essentially Robinson as our only reserve big man. Although Jackson hadnt contributed, he would have been able to come in and at least give us 6 fouls against Shaq and gave us some insurance for Robinson. Instead, we are now left with Thomas, whom Ill admit has been playing better than I expected, but is obviously not the best option out there..

The reason he wasn't playing was because Frank wasn't letting him. There is a reason why he scored 12ppg the 04-05 season, it didnt happen magically. He's got ability. Sure he's not the best shot blocker and defender but he can commit hard fouls, set screens and hit mid range jumpers. Frank has a certain mold for players and if they don't fit the bill for what he wants, he won't play them. That's not a good philosophy when you have good players that can contribute in other ways than what he looks for
