This series is going 7 games. Let's pray we can pull another one out in PHX.

I thought our perimeter D was much better tonight, probably because Rudy didn't have to worry about filling Roy's role in the offense.

So you're already conceding defeat in game 5?

If we "pull another one out in PHX" on Monday, this series is over in 6.

Or in the defense, for that matter. He could instead focus on filling Dante's role on the bench.

Not sure where you got this idea, but anyone that was under the impression that this was a battle of two "pretty evenly matched teams" without Roy was living in a dream world. This series is an enormous mismatch without Roy. If Roy was in tip-top shape it would be a little closer to even, but since he isn't, Phoenix is still clearly in the driver's seat. Fortunately, in the world of sports the better team doesn't always win (refer to Game 1), so the Blazers still have a puncher's chance.

Sorry about that; a fit of peak. I didn't see today as "horrible PHX shooting" so much as figuring out their offense and reacting appropriately. By doubling Nash off the pick, we made it easier to get on Richardson before he got the ball. His shots weren't falling because he wasn't wide open. We still had to deal with more Nash driving and Stat going harder inside. And Hill still hit his shots. I'd say also that (apart from some Win One For The Gipper moments) we didn't play incredible either. Roy hit two timely shots, but he was still warming up to game speed. LMA was incredible, but it's not like a basically "unscouted" Miller going off for 31 to get a surprise win. LMA was targeted by the defense, and evolved to score anyway. In that way, I feel better about the series now than I did after Game 1. This win was earned, and we can be positive about it.

Hill was 3-10. Not exactly hitting his shots.

Crazy; not looking at the box scores I would have sworn he was still hot. Maybe he cooled down in the second half or something.

It should be noted that we helped them miss their shots with more defensive intensity. Time after time they were shooting against the clock or had to make another pass.
